Below are some links to resources which can be useful in planning your pregnancy. I've also listed some books which I think give a good overview of the birth experience or a good explanation of doulas.

Information about Doulas:

- I am not a postpartum doula. Information about postpartum doulas is available at Dona International as well as links to help find a certified postpartum doula.
- Certification is available through several different organizations, such as Aviva Institute, Cornerstone Doula Trainings, and Birth Arts International

- Caring Arms Perinatal Services - Provides doula services to women of color, single mothers, women in poverty and homeless women.
- MACA - The Midwives Association of California
- Give Blood - Women in labor (and babies, too) receive donated blood by way of transfusion after severe postpartum hemorrhages, which affect all women indiscriminately.
