My Services

The following are my standard services:

• 2 prenatal visits in your home (in addition to the complimentary initial interview)
• visit with your midwife or OB
• 24 hour phone and email support
• use of my borrowing library materials
• personalized help in preparing your birth plan (typically done in the second home visit)
• continuous presence during your labor, providing emotional and informational support and physical assistance
• birth photos or video
• assistance and training in breastfeeding
• 2 antepartum visits, the first one day after discharge and then 1-2 weeks following

For these services I charge a $1200 flat fee, with an initial $500 retainer due at hire. The remainder is due at the final antepartum visit. I want to make sure my services are accessible to all parents who need them and will arrange a payment plan for clients who require it.

Many insurance companies are beginning to take note of the cost-saving benefits of having doula support during labor and birth. Check with yours to see if doula care is covered. I work with St. Agnes Hospital and I also provide volunteer services to YWCA for at risk mothers to be.
